When I started this dieting adventure, I was wearing a size 2-3x and was unhealthy -- I've had 2 knee replacements in the span of 1 year! I was hardly unable to walk, breathe, or bend down. I retired 3 years ago and couldn't enjoy my time. My health first and foremost is important. My family, especially my 2 grand daughters were my reasons to seek help. What a smart decision! With help from Lara and my determination, I got to my goal. I'm healthier, I feel proud of my accomplishments, and have no intention of going back! It's not always easy, but it's definitely worth every minute!
Dieting is hard work and determination to succeed. With Lara as a Health Coach you have a caring, encouraging motivator. I wouldn't be near the end of my weight loss journey without her. Thank you Lara from the bottom of my heart!

Elora Anderson (Winnipeg, MB)
Before joining I reached my highest weight of 385 lbs. I've been saying for years and years and years that I was going to finally start losing weight which is always easier said than done. My health was being compromised with all the extra weight I was carrying. I had terrible back pain that would often leave me debilitated (like seriously...there are days I would be literally crying on the floor. I learned little tricks to be able to get myself up which often included getting someone to step on me)
When my mother suddenly passed in October of 2019 really made me put my life into perspective and finally step up and say I'm ready to start. I had been following the Facebook page for almost a year, never commenting just watching, and I reached out to get started.
Lara really helped me through the ups and downs of weightloss. Which isn't just salads, hitting the gyms and calorie counting (which was something that totally turned me off of losing weight because I had no freaking clue on any of that and I hated the idea of embarrassing my big self in a gym with all these hot people pumping iron. It's a long term thing I struggled with since elementary. I hating being the only fat kid struggling...) She helped me realize I don't have to embarrass myself to reach my goals. Taught me how to eat right and that I can have a healthy relationship with food. Having that understanding really helped me be able to keep on track. Sure there was a few (okay, A LOT) of slip ups but there's no shame in that. She taught me that my whole diet wasn't ruined because I gave in and had a chomp of something I shouldn't have. Just acknowledge that and keep going.
I draw motivation from others around me (that means you amazing people!) And seeing my results, FEELING THEM! When I say feeling, I mean being able to feel my efforts paying off. Like with the back pain, I lived my life on a pain scale of 8-9 daily. Losing the weight I currently lost I have little to no back pain. Its a straight up 1 now!
